Staff Council About us
The Staff Council currently consists of 24 representatives from the group of employees (formerly: salaried employees and hourly workers) and currently 2 representatives from the group of civil servants.
The tasks of the Staff Council are defined in the Baden-Württemberg State Staff Representation Act. According to this act, it is to cooperate in a spirit of trust with the employing authority for the benefit of the employees and to ensure the fulfillment of the authority's tasks. It is also responsible for ensuring that laws, collective bargaining agreements, and other regulations applicable to employees are implemented, that all members of the employing authority are treated fairly and equitably, and that, in particular, no discrimination occurs. The Staff Council represents all employees, but not professors.
