
Staff Council

About us
The Staff Council represents the interests of Heidelberg University's employees vis-à-vis the university administration. Its responsibilities include ensuring compliance with and implementation of all applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, and other regulations. The State Staff Representation Act (LPVG) provides the legal basis for these tasks.

Objectives
The goals of a works council are to represent the collective social and personal interests of employees, to monitor compliance with laws and collective agreements, and to participate in shaping working conditions. The works council advocates for good working conditions, occupational safety, and personnel policies, and protects employees from unfair treatment.

The staff council offers a wide range of services for employees of Heidelberg University, both digitally and through personal contact.
